A lightweight and perfect side dish are Panda Express Super Greens. Why is it super green? Because the composition includes a lot of green vegetables in a spicy butter sauce. This food will be a great addition to any meat dish, as well as rice or potatoes.
Panda Express Super Greens
Many moms complain that their children do not like vegetables. And each parent tries to give as many vegetables as possible to his child. Well.
This does not concern me at all. Because my baby loves sweet peppers, cauliflower, and green beans. And her favorite is broccoli. From the first feeding. And I loved these vegetables with her.
Now I try to diversify the dishes, preparing a lot of vegetables, but always different. In a culinary show, a famous chef said: “Cook any vegetable in a pan to open it from a new angle.” And it’s true, and a good sauce is never superfluous.
How to cook panda express super greens?
- First, prepare all the ingredients. Wash, dry, and chop. So you will be ready to cook a quick meal.
- Heat the butter, ginger, garlic, and spices in a pan. When the butter has melted, fry for no more than one minute. Then add soy sauce and water.
- Add broccoli inflorescences, green cabbage, and Kale, mix with the sauce.
- Cook for 3-4 minutes. During this time, broccoli will be quite crispy, but not overcooked.
- Mix the vegetables with the sauce again and serve hot.
Are Panda Express Super Greens vegan?
No, it’s vegetarian. Because in this recipe we use butter. But, it can be easily made vegan by replacing butter with avocado oil or any vegetable oil.
What to serve with Panda Express Super Greens?
These vegetables are perfect for any meat dish. For example, beef or chicken. I like to roll chicken in corn starch and fry in a pan. Then add soy sauce, fenugreek, salt, paprika, pepper, and a little more starch for the density of the sauce.
You can also cook rice or bulgur.
HOW TO MAKE PANDA EXPRESS SUPER GREENS?
- Wash green cabbage, kale, and broccoli. Dry with towels. Divide broccoli into inflorescences. Kale and green cabbage chop coarsely.
- Put a piece of butter, chopped garlic, ground ginger, and crushed red pepper in a pan.
- When the butter has melted, fry the garlic for no more than one minute. Then add soy sauce and water. Cook another 30 seconds.
- Add broccoli, green cabbage, and kale. Mix with sauce, cover, and cook over medium heat for 3-4 minutes.
- After 3-4 minutes, the broccoli will still be crispy, but not too soft. It should be so. Mix again with the sauce and serve.
How to store Panda Express Super Greens?
Fold the Super Greens in a container with a sealed lid and store in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. I do not recommend freezing.
Broccoli does a great job of freezing. But the Kale and green cabbage will become lethargic and unsightly.
Before serving, it is advisable to warm the dish. Do it in a skillet or in a microwave.
