  • 1–1/2 pounds lean ground beef
  • 1 large white onion, diced
  • 1 large green bell pepper, diced
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 teaspoons dry mustard

  • 6 tablespoons melted butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1–1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  • Fry the ground beef in a pan until brown, add diced onion and bell pepper, simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Add brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, dry mustard, and garlic salt. Then pour in the tomato sauce, ketchup and stir everything. Simmer covered over low heat while you cook the filling.
  • Combine flour, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl. Pour in milk, melted butter, eggs, and stir. Pour in the grated cheese, stir.
