COPYCAT CRACKER BARREL HASHBROWN CASSEROLE

HASHBROWN CASSEROLE;

This dish was one of my favorites during childhood. My aunt often treated me with it when I came to visit her. This hashbrown casserole recipe is very similar to my aunt’s recipe.

Believe me, this is a wonderful casserole with a mouth-watering aroma. Also, this dish is especially good because it is very simple.

You don’t need to prepare it for a long time, just mix all the ingredients and place the casserole in the oven. Then, enjoy such a yummy breakfast or dinner.

COPYCAT CRACKER BARREL HASHBROWN CASSEROLE

You can serve this casserole as just a side dish, but most often we have it as an independent dish. I can feed the whole family with one casserole. They always like this Hashbrown Casserole Recipe.

It can be cooked with ground beef, mushrooms, or your other favorite ingredients. I tried to cook it with different fillings, but the favorite for us still remains this, the simplest one.

You should have simple, affordable, cheap products, such as hash browns, butter, cream of chicken soup, cheddar cheese, sour cream, onion, salt, and pepper.

Is Cracker Barrel hashbrown casserole gluten-free?

Cracker Barrel hashbrown casserole isn’t gluten-free because it includes a condensed chicken cream soup (it contains gluten).

    Love this recipe. Make the day before then pop it in the oven. Great for brunches. Always get comments on how creamy it tastes.

    I substitute cream of chicken with cream of mushroom soup. I also chop one whole sweet onion sauteed in 2 T. of the butter. I use the rest of the butter melted and mixed with 2 C. crushed cornflakes for the topping before baking.

    I use the herb COC, and use Papa Earls (cajun seasoning) instead of the regular salt and pepper, I also add crumbled Black Label thick cut bacon. It comes out better than Cracker Barrel, and we love it. Thanks for the starter recipe.

    This recipe is very good, but I don’t think Cracker Barrel uses any cream soup in theirs. This was very creamy, whereas Cracker Barrel’s is very dry – excellent, but dry.

    Used this recipe for A Christmas Eve brunch with my wife. I Had all Ingredients on hand, except our sour cream had chives in it, Otherwise followed recipe. Cooked for 45 minutes using convection oven. I have to say, it was delicious. Not sure how it would compare side by side to Cracker Barrel, but I was able to get a much bigger serving than Cracker Barrel gives ya. Thanks for sharing. , oh, and it was easy. Love it!!!

      I wouldn’t recommend it. Remember potatoes oxidize when left uncooked for too long. They might turn an unappealing brown color.

      I’ve made this recipe several times. I always mix it the night before and bake it in the morning. I have never had it turn brown. I mix it all up in the baking dish I use to bake it. The hash browns are covered in all the goo used in the recipe. I make it for Easter, Mother’s Day and Father’s Day for our church breakfasts. Big hit!

      Hi. If u like the bacon flavor, add a T of bacon grease to it. I’ll save my bacon grease in a small jar in the frig. It’s good for putting a little bit on your burgers or scrambled eggs. U want the brown bits that’s full of flav ✌️🥔🧅🥓🍔🥚
