CREAM CHEESE SAUSAGE BALLS

Scroll to Bottom for Printable Recipe Card.

I’m sure you’ve purchased those appetizer packs from the grocery stores that include bite-sized snacks to serve at dinner parties or during the holiday season. As you probably know, they can get expensive, and you don’t always know what’s included.

Cream Cheese Sausage Balls

CREAM CHEESE SAUSAGE BALLS

These sausage balls with cream cheese are the perfect finger food to serve at any time of the year.

The prep time is cut in half by using Bisquick as a secret ingredient so you can spend more time out of the kitchen.

The other ingredients you likely already have on hand like ground pork and cheddar cheese, and this recipe makes many servings because trust me. They will disappear fast!

Follow the best sausage ball recipe below and make sure to read through the frequently asked questions to make these Bisquick cream cheese sausage balls.

  4. Using a scoop or by hand, form the mixture into 1-inch balls and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  5. Place baking sheet in the fridge to chill for 10 minutes
  6. Once chilled, place in preheated oven and bake for 25 minutes until golden brown and firm to touch.

CAN CREAM CHEESE SAUSAGE BALLS BE MADE AHEAD OF TIME?

This recipe is great to make ahead and then pop in the oven when guests arrive.

Make the recipe up to Step 5, cover the balls with plastic wrap, and keep them in the fridge until ready to bake.

They can also be baked ahead of time and stored in the fridge for up to 4 days or in the freezer for up to 3 months.

WHAT TO SERVE WITH CREAM CHEESE SAUSAGE BALLS?

These cream cheese sausage balls are amazing on their own. However, they would pair excellently with your favorite dips!

I’d recommend a spicy Thai sauce or honey mustard, but the options are endless.

DO CREAM CHEESE SAUSAGE BALLS NEED TO BE REFRIGERATED?

Leftover cream cheese sausage balls do need to be refrigerated.

To store, place cooled sausage balls in an air-tight container and keep them in the fridge.

Once ready to serve, they can be reheated in the oven or microwave.

Should the sausage be cooked before adding it to recipes?

Fantastic. Better than regular sausage balls with no cream cheese. They were a hit at my neighborhood brunch.

I was wondering if I could substitute Almond flour instead of Bisquick?

You can’t just use almond flour but you can make a Bisquick substitute using it. 2 cups almond flour, 3 tsp baking powder, 1/2 tsp salt, 2 tbsp butter blended together in a food processor
