- Step 1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees
- Step 2. Cream butter and sugar together using an electric mixer until light and fluffy (about 3 minutes). If using powdered sugar instead, cream together with the butter the same way
- Step 3. Beat in the egg, ground almonds, and almond extract and mix until smooth
- Step 4. Working slowly, add in the flour and mix until fully combined
- Step 5. Scoop dough onto a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper and top each dough ball with 2 slivered almonds

CAN YOU FREEZE ALMOND BUTTER COOKIES?
