The broccoli cheddar chicken is a perfect choice for your dinner. You can quickly prepare this tender chicken breast with a cheesy, moist, and creamy sauce with crushed Ritz crackers. HOW TO MAKE BROCCOLI CHEDDAR CHICKEN?

Follow the simple recipe below to make this delicious broccoli cheddar chicken from scratch.

  • Step 1. Preheat the oven to 350F. In a bowl, combine 1 cup of milk, 1 can of cheddar cheese soup, ½ tsp smoked paprika, and 6 oz shredded cheddar cheese. Set aside. Grease a baking dish with non-stick cooking spray. Then, place 4 chicken breasts in a single layer in the baking dish. Season with salt and pepper.

  • Step 2. Cover the chicken breasts with half of the milk and cheese mixture.

  • Step 3. Place 8 oz broccoli florets over the cheesy mixture.

  • Step 4. Sprinkle 1 ½ cups crushed Ritz crackers over the broccoli florets.

  • Step 5. Pour the remaining half of the cheesy mixture over the crushed Ritz crackers. Bake in the preheated oven until the chicken breasts are ready (for at least 45 minutes). Check the readiness of the chicken breasts with a cooking thermometer (the safe internal temperature for cooked chicken is 165°F). When ready, remove from the oven and enjoy!

CAN I USE FROZEN BROCCOLI INSTEAD OF FRESH?

Yes, you can use frozen broccoli florets instead of fresh ones. Just let them thaw and use it for making this amazing broccoli cheddar chicken recipe.

BAKING TIPS FOR BROCCOLI CHEDDAR CHICKEN

  1. You can use fresh or frozen broccoli.
  2. Always use a cooking thermometer to determine if the chicken breasts are ready.
  3. Store leftover broccoli cheddar chicken covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  4. You can also cut the chicken breasts into two or three pieces. So, the baking time will be shorter.

WHAT TO SERVE WITH BROCCOLI CHEDDAR CHICKEN?

I like to serve this broccoli cheddar chicken over rice, but you can also eat this dish without a side dish.

You can also serve the broccoli cheddar chicken with spaghetti or salad.

FREEZE BROCCOLI CHEDDAR CHICKEN;

Yes, you can freeze this broccoli cheddar chicken. Just let it cool completely to room temperature.

Then, cover the baking dish with aluminum foil or plastic wrap or transfer leftover broccoli cheddar chicken to a freezer-safe zip-lock bag or container. Store in the freezer for up to 3 months.
