Not to worry, we’ve got you covered with these easy homemade cinnamon rolls without yeast. No mixer needed, no eggs, and ready in about an hour.

Whether for brunch on a weekend morning or with your afternoon coffee, this easy cinnamon roll recipe with no yeast will be a favorite in your household. Make sure not to skimp on the cream cheese icing!

Easy Cinnamon Rolls Without Yeast

HOW TO MAKE CINNAMON ROLLS WITHOUT YEAST?

  1. Whisk dry ingredients together (flour, baking powder, sugar, cinnamon & salt) in a large bowl until combined
  2. Melt butter and milk together in a small saucepan over low heat until the butter is just melted
  3. Pour milk mixture into the flour mixture. Use a spatula to mix together until just combined
  4. Knead the dough for 1 minute on a lightly floured work surface until it comes together. If it starts to feel too sticky, add a touch more flour.

  5. Cover the dough with a damp towel and let it rest for 15 minutes
  6. preheat oven to 350 degrees. Liberally grease an 8-inch square baking dish with butter or non-stick cooking spray, set aside
  7. Roll out dough into a 10×14 inch rectangle. Brush dough with melted butter and sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar mixture
  8. Roll up dough starting at the long end, creating a tight log
  9. Slice into 9 rounds. Lay rolls out on the greased baking dish and bake in preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until pale golden brown.

  10. Mix icing ingredients together using a hand mixer until fully combined
  11. Allow rolls to cool fully prior to topping with icing

CAN YOU FREEZE NO YEAST CINNAMON ROLLS?

Unfrosted cinnamon rolls can be frozen in an airtight container for up to 3-months. Allow rolls to return to room temperature prior to icing and serve. Freezing rolls that have already been frosted are not recommended.

HOW TO STORE CINNAMON ROLLS?

For best results, allow the rolls to cool completely to room temperature and store them in an airtight container.

Store icing in a separate airtight container as well. Both can be kept at room temperature for 3-5 days.

WHAT’S THE BEST FROSTING FOR CINNAMON ROLLS?

Cream cheese frosting is the classic topping for cinnamon rolls however a classic vanilla buttercream will work just as well if you do not have cream cheese on hand. Store-bought cream cheese icing can work too!

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp vanilla
  • ¾ cup confectioner’s sugar, sifted

DO CINNAMON ROLLS NEED TO BE REFRIGERATED?

The rolls themselves do not need to be refrigerated, however, because the frosting has dairy in it I would recommend keeping it stored in the fridge.

    I made these rolls and they came out great. I must admit, I like them using yeast; but, when you don’t have any these are great.
    My friends enjoyed them too. They didn’t last long.the recipe is easy and quick. Great with coffee.😋

      Yes, the rolled dough can be made ahead and frozen. Allow it to come to room temperature prior to baking and topping with the glaze

    Making it today, you said heat the oven 350 deg, my oven only up to 280 dec, do you mean in Fahrenheit?
