Chocolate Ooey Gooey is one of my favorite chocolate cake. And here is my favorite recipe that is quick, easy, and yummy. I often make it a coffee mate while accompanying me to work chasing deadlines. I believe you will like this cake too. Forget it about diet today. Because it not enough just one bite, one pan will run out without anything left.
One day I once made this cake for a family gathering. Unexpectedly everyone likes it. Yeah, this cake become a favorite meal in my family now. It’s a pleasure.
This cake is rich, moist, and tasty. This recipe uses a chocolate cake mix package that sells in the supermarket for the cake base. Or you can replace it with other ingredients that you have in your kitchen. In preparation below, I give my simple recipe to replace the chocolate cake mix package.
Preparations tricks and tips:
- In a saucepan, melt butter at low temperature. Divide into two, half for the cake base and remaining butter for the top layered.
- A simple recipe for chocolate cake mix package:
– 130gr all-purpose flour,
– 25 gr unsweetened cocoa powder,
– 25 gr milk powder,
– 1 tsp baking powder,
– 100 gr granulated sugar.
- Use the best quality of the cocoa powder. Choose dark cocoa powder to get a catchy brownie color.
- Line a round cake pan size 8 inches with parchment paper.
- Preheat the oven at 3250F or 1600C.
- To get the shiny crust on the cake top, during the sugar stirring process, the sugar must be dissolved.
- You can modify this recipe with add espresso, milo powder, or Nutella.
- For best serving, you can add ice cream or whipped cream on top of the cake.

Ingredients
- 226 gr butter at room temperature
- 1 package chocolate cake mix
- 3 eggs at room temperature
- 8 ounces cream cheese
- 31 gr unsweetened cocoa powder
- 250 gr confection’s sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Line a round cake pan size 8 inches with parchment paper.
- Preheat the oven at 3250F or 1600C.
- Make the cake base. One package chocolate cake mix adds with one egg and 113gr melted butter. Beat until mix well.
- Put in the batter in a prepared cake pan, then flatten.
- In a bowl, beat cream cheese until soft.
- Then add cocoa powder and two eggs, beat until dense.
- Add confection’s sugar, stir until the sugar dissolved.
- And the last, pour the remaining melted butter. Mix in. Don’t over mix
- Bake the cake until cooked for around 40-50 minutes.
- Let it cool before serving.
