WHAT ARE THE BEST APPLES TO USE WHEN MAKING CRESCENT ROLL APPLE DUMPLINGS?

The best apples to use when making these crescent roll apple dumplings are Granny Smith apples because they are firm and don’t get very mushy during baking.

They also have a more tart flavor than other apple varieties, so your dumplings will be well balanced and not too sweet!

You can prepare crescent roll apple dumplings ahead of time by rolling the apple slices up in the dough and covering them in the butter sauce, then covering them and storing them in the refrigerator.

HOW DO YOU REHEAT CRESCENT ROLL APPLE DUMPLINGS?

You can reheat crescent roll apple dumplings in a baking dish at 350º F for 5 to 10 minutes.

TIPS FOR BAKING THE PERFECT CRESCENT ROLL APPLE DUMPLINGS

  1. Do not pour the 7-UP or Mountain Dew over the crescent dough or you will rinse off the butter sauce and they may become soggy while baking.
  2. The crescent roll apple dumplings are best served hot right from the oven, and with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
