Ingredients

  • 24 frozen breaded chicken tenders
  • 1 package (12 oz) Hawaiian sweet rolls
  • 1 package (7-½ oz) sliced provolone and mozzarella cheese blend
  • 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce

Topping:

  • ½ cup butter
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons minced fresh basil

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375 F. Pan-fry or bake the chicken tenders according to package instructions. Cut the sweet rolls horizontally without separating them, and put them in a greased casserole dish. Layer them with cheese and bake until melted.
  • Spoon marinara sauce over the cheese.
  • Add a layer of chicken tenders.
  • Spoon marinara sauce over the chicken tenders.
  • Add another layer of cheese.
  • Put the top of the rolls back on.
  • Melt the butter. Mix in the garlic powder and chili flakes. Brush the top of the rolls with this mixture, sprinkle with Parmesan cheese, and bake for 15 minutes until golden brown. Top with chopped basil before serving.
