How to Cook Buckwheat Kasha

Ingredients

  • 1 cup toasted buckwheat

  • 2 cups cold water

  • 1 tbsp butter

  • 1/2 tsp sea salt

Instructions

  • Rinse buckwheat and drain wel
  • Combine buckwheat, water, butter and salt in a medium sauce-pan.
  • Bring to a boil, cover with a lid and simmer on low for 20 minute
  • When cooked, transfer to a bowl, add additional tablespoon of butter if desired and serve.

Notes

Here's the secret option for a super tasty side dish: add 2 tablespoons of sour cream per serving and some chopped dill into the pot with cooked buckwheat. Mix well and cover with a lid, let sit for 5 minutes and enjoy!
