Easy Strawberry Cobbler Recipe

This cobbler is one of my favorite dessert recipes with strawberries. The taste of the baked fruit is so intense and the cake part of the cobbler goes perfectly with them.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup salted butter (1 stick)
  • 1 cup self-rising flour (sub 1 cup ap flour, 1 ½ tsp baking powder, and ¼ tsp salt)
  • 1 ½ cups sugar, divided
  • 1 cup milk
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • 4 cups of strawberries, hulled and halved

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350F
  • Wash, hull, and cut the strawberries in half
  • While the oven is preheating, put the stick of butter in a 9x13” baking dish and let it melt
  • In a medium-sized bowl, whisk together flour, 1 ¼ cup of sugar, milk, and vanilla. Pour over melted butter.
  • Do not stir the batter and the melted butter together
  • Add remaining sugar to strawberries and toss to coat
  • Spoon strawberries on top of the batter
  • Do not mix strawberries into the batter
  • Bake cobbler for 45 mins or until the batter is cooked and golden
