Ingredients

  • - 1 crusty loaf (sourdough or Vienna);
  • - 1 cup Mozzarella cheese, shredded;
  • - 1 stick unsalted butter, melted;
  • - 2 garlic cloves, minced;
  • - ¾ tsp salt;
  • - 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped.

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Make diagonal cuts in the bread at a distance of 1 inch from one to the other cut. Don't cut the bread completely, leave ¼ inch on the bottom crust.
  • In a bowl, mix melted butter, minced garlic, and salt until combined. Add finely chopped parsley and stir completely.
  • Pour butter mixture evenly between the cut cracks. If you have remaining butter mixture, brush the bread. Then, stuff evenly all the bread cracks with shredded mozzarella.
  • Place stuffed bread on a large piece of aluminium foil and wrap it. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes. Then, unwrap bread and bake for additional 5-10 minutes until mozzarella cheese completely melts. Serve warm.
